Pursuing its rising streak for the fifth straight session, the rupee gained profit another 12 paise at 62.04 against the dollar in early trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on growing in selling of the US currency by exporters and banks amid bigger opening of domestic equities. Besides, encouraging industrial production, which grew to a five month max of 3.8 percent in November, also uplifted the rupee sentiments, forex dealers said. Rupee had gained profit of 16 paise to end at over one month max of 62.16 yesterday against the American currency on determined selling of dollars by banks and exporters on desired of capital inflows into domestic markets. The benchmark BSE Sensex today increased by 84.92 points, or 0.30 percent, to trade at 27,670.19 in early trade.
