Rupee Gains Profit, Still Upward by 20 Paisa
The rupee snip its initial profit gains, but was still quoting upward by 20 paisa to 61.50 against the greenback in late morning deals today on assist bouts of dollar selling from banks and exporters among rallying equities. Earlier, the rupee reopen sharply higher at 61.45/dollar as against yesterday end of 61.70 at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market. It nourished further at 61.35 on persistent dollar selling by banks and exporters before quoting at Rs 61.50 at 1100 hours. It hovered in the range of 61.50 to 61.35/dollar during the morning trade.

Russian rouble 1 percent stronger vs dollar

Russia's rouble nourished by around 1 % against the dollar at the market opening on Friday and made profit gains against the euro, helped by a slight bounce in global oil prices. At 0704 GMT, the rouble was around 1 % powerful against the dollar at 63.46 and gained profit of 1.6 % to trade at 71.90 versus the euro.
