Rupee downward 11 paise against dollar

The rupee lost 11 paise to 62.30 against the US dollar in early trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange due to increase in the Greenback's value against other currencies overseas. Forex dealers attributed the downfall in the rupee to the dollar's gains against other global currencies and sustained capital outflows but a bigger opening in the domestic stock market capped the rupee's slid. The rupee had closed two paise downward at over one-month low-lying of 62.19 in yesterday's trade on late dollar desired from banks and importers.
