Rupee strengthened by 7 paise to 62.15 against the US dollar in trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on raised selling of the American currency by exporters and banks. Forex dealers said besides selling of the US currency by exporters and banks, a bigger opening in domestic stock market and the dollar's weakness against other currencies overseas, supported the rupee. The rupee had ended with a profit gain of 12 paise against the US dollar at 62.22 in the last session on Friday.
The benchmark BSE Sensex increased by 113.19 points, or 0.38 %, at 29,344.60 in early trade. Get in touch with Stock
