The Rupee rose 11 paise to 65.08 against the US Dollar in early trade on Wednesday ahead of the outcome of the US Federal Reserve's two-day policy review later in the day.
The Domestic currency had trimmed 1 paisa to close at 64.97 against the greenback in the previous session.
While, the US Fed is largely expected to maintain status quo on the policy rate for now, currency markets were not sure whether the bank would give any clear indication of a rate hike in the December policy review.
Asian currencies were trading mixed. Japanese yen inched up 0.07 per cent to 120.39. Chinese yuan was up 0.17 per cent at 6.34. Singapore dollar and Taiwanese dollar rose up to 0.8 per cent.
On the flip side, Korean won (down 0.19 per cent), Malaysian ringgit (0.21 per cent, Thai baht (0.14 per cent) and Indonesian rupiah (0.07 per cent) were seen weakening against the US dollar.
The Dollar index, which tracks the movement of dollar against a basket of six major world currencies, rose 0.1 per cent to 96.96.
