Rupee track off 21 paise to Rs 63.50 against the dollar in trade today at the Interbank Foreign Exchange owing to increase in the greenback's value against other currencies overseas. Dealers attributed the sliding in rupee to dollar profit gains against the euro which slided to a nine-year low lying; but a maximum opening in the domestic stock market limited the slide of the domestic currency. Indian rupee had closed 6 paise maximum at 63.29 against the greenback on Friday, helped by selling of dollars by banks and exporters during hopes of more foreign capital arrival into the equity market. The benchmark BSE Sensex recoup the 28,000-mark by increasing 122.45 points, or 0.44 percent, to 28,010.35 in trade today.
